First of all we hope everyone is well and coping with the current situation that we all find ourselves in. There appears to be a bit of light at the end of the tunnel for everyone as long as we stick to the current guidelines that are being issued as we ease our way out of lockdown.

Statement From SERYFA & Alpha Trophies Leagues re League Restarting

A lot of work has gone on behind the scenes in the last week. Allan has contacted every team at every age group from U13s to U16s to speak to them re our plans to complete the season. He also has plans to contact the U17s today (12/04/21) and the U19s in the next few days.

With all the teams help we are hoping to finish all the leagues and complete any cups that we have already started. We have agreed with the teams (that we have contacted so far) that the number of league games played will be reduced to allow us to complete them. All leagues at each aged group have been looked at on an individual basis.

We will restart fixtures on weekend 1st & 2nd May 2021. This will allow teams to arrange and play friendlies from the 26th April 2021. All competitions must be completed by 30th June 2021. We will have to play some midweek games but we don’t want to overload the fixture list with midweek games.

To allow us to complete the leagues and cups we will of course need to follow and stick to social distancing rules and guidance that are still in place.

Regarding any cup finals that are to be played we will be issuing details on where they will be played nearer the time and any restrictions that are in place re crowds will have to be adhered to by everyone.

This has been a difficult time for everyone and we have tried to keep positive by always believing we could finish the season.

We know there might be a few obstacles thrown at us in the weeks ahead. We will try our best to deal with them. We know for sure that we need everyone’s help in getting the season completed, so we would like to thank you all in advance for your help.
